    Home speakers for car?

In my room I have some pretty decent technics and I was wondering if it was possible to somehow run them in my car (pug 106) googled it and it just comes up with people who have done it but are asking unrelated questions.

    Is it possible?
    How hard would it be?

    Thanks.

    Re: Home speakers for car?

As long as the wattage isn't to high, just get an inverter like this:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cigarette-Li.../dp/B000ORSGI2

and bolt the system down somewhere.

edit: sorry, didn't realise you were just talking speakers As below, just make sure the resistance is okay and wire them up.

easy done so long as the amp can run them, ohm ratings need to match

They don't need to match, but home speakers are typically 8 ohm whereas car speakers are usually 4 ohm. So using home speakers you'll usually get less power out of the amp.

I'd be sceptical about how good they'd sound anyway. Car acoustics are very different to room acoustics.

    Re: Home speakers for car?

Well the hole idea is to get the ones in the front running with the two from my room in the boot.
