regardless there is a very good chance in damaging the cylinders when you remove a seized drum m8, im glad i got discs all round

I'd have thought all Mr RAC would do is remove the front cover, see the bonding's failed and make a note of the failed cylinder, he wouldn't have done much else, no?

if the shoe is seized inside the drum he would have to remove the drum to see its come away from the lining, if its stuck its not going to slide off and will mash the shoes as they bend taking the cylinder with it.

if you have ever removed a drum thats worn you will know what a pig it is to get off.

Although not a fix here. A gentle tap to a wheel stud with a club hammer is normally enough to free a stuck drum that won't rock free.
