    Clio fixage :D

Found the leak at EP this morning due to the good weather. A water hose (the only one not silicone, typical) had a pin prick sized hole in it which under pressure was squirting more than firemans hose.

So, no more leak for now. Also good news is the fuelling. Found out the car's been running mega weak. It's now been sorted which has resulted in a serious gain in bottom end torque and also the cars ability to pull in 5th. I struggled to keep below 80mph on the way home from Stoke this afternoon since the throttle's so damn sensitive! Not sure that'd work with Officer Dibble..

Nothing like clearing up a leak, and getting some more torque into the bargain too!

You had it RR'd yet Lowe?

3rd July it's booked in for a power run. Different set of rollers sadly since the other place I used got rid of theirs.

    Still, should be interesting..

    Nice one Lowe,
Shame my car doesnt have an engine - as something tells me I would walk all over that RR day
Glad to see yours is up and running again - will this be the first run with the new bits?

On the downside of the car running weak/lean..... increased fuel bills Which with the rising prices is not good

Before it pushed out 157bhp with 160lbs of torque though that was on a set of rollers which don't exist now sadly, so this run will be a base line again..

    Hoping for 165-170bhp.

Yes the hose was replaced, didn't bodge it Jiff

Eazieb, yes this will be the first run since chucking nearly 600 quid at the engine. Hope I get a decent "increase".

Coco, the car will supposedly use less fuel since I won't have to use so much throttle to make it go. That's what I keep telling myself, yet every time I accelerate and the smell of Optimax fills my nostrils (gotta love carbs) I know I'm lying to myself.
