    Renault laguna lost car keys

    Hi,
a friend of mine has lost her keys to her 2002 Renault Laguna. An automotive locksmith I have spoken to is very confident he can re-program and provide 2 non-remote keys at a price much less than the dealer. Has anyone tried this? What are the risks of doing this compared to using a dealer? Is it possible if the automotive locksmith is unsuccessful that he will mess up the programming and could this mean the dealer wouldn't be able to do it?

    Thanks for any advice

Is this doing a re-program from the spare?

I guess it depends if the key has an immobiliser chip in it...

Re: Renault laguna lost car keys

If its a 2002 Laguna then surely its a Mk2 which uses a card not a key?
