    British Gran Prix...(56K Beware!)

    ...I was there

What an amazing weekend starting on Friday going all the way through to Sunday. I didn't stay over for the weekend but just commuted to and from each day.

Was sooo tired last night after getting up at like 6.30 each morning to leave [being a student, this is a very early hour for me ]

After this weekend it sured up what i already knew...how can people call F1 boring? It was unbelievale the atmosphere, people, cars speed and smell.

    Here are some pictures:

    Friday Free Practice -

Montoya on his first flying lap:

One of the Renaults doing about 190MPH down Hangar Straight:

    A Ferrari breaking from 190MPH to 110MPH:

    Kimi at full throttle:

A Sauber head on coming down Hangar Straight:

    Saturday Qualifying -

    Porsche Supercup Qualifying:

    Scumacher coming round Bridge corner:

    Button after qualifying:

    Sunday Race Day -

The drivers on the tour truck:

    Porsche Supercup Race:

    The Red Arrows:

    Crowd shot at Bridge:

Trulli's big accident with the safety car + other cars:

Barrichello cruising round at the end of the race:

Schumacher cruising in at the end of the race:

Jordan's fastest lap of the GP:

    Clogs!!!

Yeh...it was a class weekend Anyone who hasn't been, and likes Formula 1 i seriously recommend it.

It was one of the best races of the year so far. There was actually some overtaking for a change.

Schumi did what he normally does and put in some superb laps either side of his pitstops. Its not good for the crowd but it gets results.

I would love to - but I doubt I ever will. I have sat in one before

Apparently you would stall it instantly if you didn't know 'how' to drive it..... Dude most people would drive any car which they get in to for the first time

I suppose there is a fairly easy way not to stall it. It does however involve wrapping the car around something solid. I am thinking if you floor it and drop the clutch it will do a load of wheelspin if tc is off and then probably hit a wall as you might not be up to controling such a beast.

I remember when i had a go at driving a ferrari 328 in a car park - it didn't want to start in the morning, so the owner was really careful not to stall it all the time that we were out in it. Then we went to a car park to take some photos and he even left the engine running. And then he offered me to have a go!!! He asked me if i could drive and if i had a license and insurance, and when i said that i could drive but didn't have a license he just told me to try not to stall it. And after a couple of laps with him in he got out and took some pics of me driving it That was ace! And no, i didn't stall it
Tough on mirrors, tough on the causes of mirrors.
