I think its safe to say that it isn't. I think a turbo and assorted intercoolers/gauges/interior stuff count for something.Originally Posted by Cupra

Tough on mirrors, tough on the causes of mirrors.

Well, the last power run puts it at 150bhp/149lbs/ft though I doubt these figures to be 100% accurate. Car is stripped down and weighs about 800kg.
Ignore the tranmission loss, it's lies..
I'd defo get a 2nd opinion on those figures tbh lowe.
Is your " mates " a totally standard Starlett turbo.........if so that would be in the rear view mirror of Lowe's standard lookin 1.0 ClioOriginally Posted by Cupra

True, but you're hardly a road car despite having to be road legal. I'd like to see you drive down the M6 with that thingOriginally Posted by Eazieb
Maybe when you own one you might...Originally Posted by Cupra

twisties will be a different story - have you seen how much flex you get on a 14x15 tyre
Might have to stop for a refuel after a while though
im going to look SO stupid if this thing doesnt 'perform'
heh, even rounding the 1.4 mile speed to 10 secs (0.6 slower than its best time as a pure drag car) to take account of small mods to make it street legal I would still be 4 secs behind
Still, I wouldnt pass up the chance at it purely for the fun factor and a laugh
Bah - why was your car on nearly the last page of the 'show us your motors thread' knew I should have worked backwards.....Originally Posted by Richie
The time on my site is before I had it - from what I understand it was a banzai run as the engine never ran right - and they threw loads of nitrous down its throat, in a do or diw attempt to get a good time.
Mine is a totally different engine - if all goes to plan looking at 10's - with gas 9's - all on road treads.
the lads im running with run in the 8's (again on treads) and from a test session on wednesday ran into the 7's on slicks....
I think your BMW is good for 13's - from seeing an M power run against a friends cortina - he beat him of course
