Lost my code for my Ford Stereo

I pulled my stereo out from the dash yesterday,
plugged it back in and relized i didnt have a code for my
stereo

just done some hunting on the net,and peeps on ebay are selling
a proggy that can decode any ford stereo,just by imputting the serial number
in

ive tried looking on google for it.
but i get nothing but crap coming up

dose anyone know where i can get the software
or the best place to search for it ?

i would rather look for the software than pay £10 to ford

not when your in your overdraft and the software is deffintly likely to be on the net somewhere

and its also one less pint and a packet crisps

or sell it onto another ebay person to recoup your loss.. then host it for free

All you do is take out the stereo - get the serial code of the side - phone your parts dept and they'll give you the code. I've had to do it on my last two and there was no charge.

Yeah - a dealer will do this for free (or at least they did with our pug).

They do at my local Renault dealers too.... although some of the dealers are fussy about it....

infact im going to my ford dealer tomorrow to pick up some zetec decals as someone robbed mine from the bottom front doors
