One you think is so dire it's ... unbelievable.
I can't comment as I haven't driven a great deal. (Learner you understand )

Nissan Terrano has to be the worst I've ever driven. The ultimate school run 4x4.
Its not the worst car ever, but in its state of condition it was appaling to drive.
2.5V6 Vectra, Company car, not been looked after properly in years, rear breaks where rusted to hell, had a tendancy to pull to the right if you didn't have 5° steering lock left on..
Tyres where virtually bald, engine had been ragged to death, power in about a 200rpm range somewhere at 4k rpm ish.
The worst ever example of a company car i've ever had the unfortunate situation to drive....
(driven 2.5 years earlier to bristol and back it was much better)

-- Hexus Meets Rock! --
worst car has to have been a Maestro 1.6 Auto.
I had a pretty nimble mini at the time and was driving this shed back for someone as a favour.
Guttless , unresponsive and just generally ooky

My mums H-reg Proton 'Aeroback' 1300. Was using that (and a friends Micra) while i was sorting the Laguna, the brakes were awful, the exhaust blew and you had to turn the steering wheel about 6 inches in either direction before the wheels actually started moving . Still, it did me for a few weeks...just glad my mum didn't see me coming back from the scrappy with a bootfull of Laguna spares in it...
1991 1.4 Ford Escort LX
Everytime you stopped you had to take it to a service station to make it accelarate again...
Mum's old fiesta (G reg I think it was), and the slightly new zetec one (S reg) (yup, the engine goes more, but the gearing is all wrong, and the steering & brakes are *awful*)
(\__/)
(='.'=)
(")_(")
Yep same as above, not driven much though.
Col
1.1 litre fiesta......... learned to drive in it...... driving instructors car....... she used to tell me to get upto 50mph... and then change gear.... it screamed its head off........ horrible car....

Honda Civic 1.4
Company car
sh1te beyond belief..
poorly looked after 1.6 astra
1987 Austin Metro. At night. Before I changed the headlights to halogens.
Hmmm... it's a close run thing.....
Rover 214
Doesn't go.. and handles like a narrow-boat in a strong crosswind...
1.0 3-pot Corsa
Just.. just... arrgh what a horrible vehicle
Fiat Punto
I SWEAR.. the exhaust fell off after a mile (the back box) the windows got stuck on the way back, and the door cards would only stay in with a knee... the clutch had about 3mm travel... breathe on the accelerator and the engine would rev it's knacks off (and wouldn't go anywhere..) horrid...
BUT... if I had to say one out of the three.. going on driving ease, position and appeal.... it would have to be... THE CORSA... may it die in the firey pits of the 7th circle of hell....

However (and my gf will hate me for this) the worst (and most scarey) is my gf's current F-Reg Toyota Celica GT. Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely car, that with a good bit of care and attention would still run rings around many more modern motors.
BUT
The steering is so badly shot there is Land Rover style play about the centre making it more akin to a tiller of a Oil Tanker. The fact it's light just makes it all the more hairrasing as you can never be sure who is in control.
And as for suspension. The celica is a nose-heavy car and isn't best friends with speed-bumps at the best of times. This example just needs a moderately heavy compression in the road to have the front splitter snacking on asphalt.
It's a sad sad state of affairs for a car with such a good standard exhaust note!
P.s. She absolutely adores it. If her next car isn't a jet-black Toyota sports-car of any kind she's going to be a seriously unhappy bunny!

Hmmm, probably the worst car I've ever driven is my dads Mondeo Turbo Diesel Estate, the brakes are soft with no feedback, the clutch u cant feel the bite point the seats are like armchairs, its just soft comfortable with no driver awareness at all, I hate it....
