I have difficulty with the concept of Winter tyres though. Winter tyres are meant to be sub 7 degrees, which down here on the sunny south of England, is actually only likely for a very short period of the year. I was looking at the car thermometer last year and there were very few days when winter tyres would have been appropriate, so to fit them for 3 months a year seems ill advised, maybe All-weather are the answer. I think I can make do with Summer tyres and limiting my driving when its icy.
