    Timing

OK I can shift the dizzy around and get the timing set to what works best for my engine after a few trials, errors, and near melt-downs. But what's the correct method for doing it? - Basically i want to find out whether I've got it set anywhere near the 'correct' setting, I'm just curious really. Does it need a strobe light thingy?

Also cams; is cam timing something I can play with easily in the same way? I found out the other day that my radiator is surprisingly easy to remove and the timing cover is right there, just waiting to be opened...

Buy yourself a cheap strobe if you want to play with the advance/retard before you melt something. Cam timing ain't adjustable unless you have vernier timing gear...
