    Well dear chap....really soon.....sadly

Never has such a good car fallen upon such bad times...except maybe the Senator....(typical....nother Vauxhall sob story)

Astra Coupe's will, in my opinion, be at less than £7 regularyl by late next year....

Prolly be 1.8's. The 2.2 MIGHT hold out for a bit longer.

    Such a shame...such a crying shame.

    However....they'll be a good buy

Omega 2.5 TD 6 pot is very hard to find, not as good as it should be, and too expensive to mend.

    Ignore it...walk away

I had a sneaking suspicion that may be the case sir Zak. Though I'm not a huge fan of the car visually I've always respected the umpteen reviews that pointed out the decent chassis and pokey motors. A well driven turbo's the one I keep my eyes peeled for, my dear civic wouldn't have a hope sadly (something heart would love to rectify but finances dictate otherwise).

Out of interest Zak, is the Zafira GSi as potent as it should be? It certainly looks the part!

does'nt really need 4wd..it does an ok job of putting the horses down. As I said to the last bloke who I sold one too

"you just spent £17k on a cruise missile for 7 astronaughts. Do yourself a favour and buy REAL TYRES every 10,000 miles. Dont skimp. It's a real car...make it drive properly. Don't skrimp"

What happens...? Oh yes.....2 budget tyres for £85 inc valve and balance and vat.....

drove it about a month ago, cos he was complaining about a rattle (which it did have) and it was horrible. I mentioned the liquorice allsorts he had on the front alloys, and he said "but the Pirelli ones you suggested were £150 each!!!"

And I said " thats 1.7% of the value of your car...and now it drives like an Astra GTE16v...slipping and sliding all over the place. It wont pull away as fast as it could, so you might as well have got a 2.2 or a 1.8 really"

    He didnt see it.

Tyres.....always good tyres. Even in Gran Turismo you can tell straight away..and thats a game!!!

    You'd love my motor then.

Well.. the front end grips anyway. The rear sometimes does.

If there is anything GT teaches it's that tyres make the single biggest difference to your ability to drive fast. 1k horsies won't do nowt without 'em.

Standard 1st GT car mod, slicks, stiffen the suspension and buy a decent exhaust!
