    indeed - 5k will get you a nice 14a

Butuz is after a similar car with a similar budget

I gotta stop pimping 200's but they are great cars to drive .

I guess 5k dont get you much GTO lemming ? Its not the sort of car I'd choose for a runabout, but providing A and B are far enough apart and you are in a bit of a hurry then a GTO would make for a good way to get there

Actually 5K will get you a GTO Turbo, but with the insurance and running costs it wasnt a first recommendation for raz

Have to say I love the GTO, I use for short journeys too and have no issues in that respect, i have had a few electrical issues recently but all seems sorted now, endless fun regardless of road type and conditions.

I have seen a few FTOs but havent driven one, it doesnt inspire me with its looks though. Performance seems to be a little lacklustre is the impression I get from posts of owners....I guess you need to buy in to the image to love it.

NOS is still in the garage! Car was off the road trying to identify a problem for 7 weeks so it put everything back a bit. New SS exhaust goes on Friday, boost controller, new A pillar and boost gauge at the weekend if all goes to plan. NOS when I feel happy with the rest early in the new year.

I am taking it easy at this stage, rebuilds are expensive dontchaknow

Teh number plate was a giveaway wasnt it

them 200SXs are beasts !!! my mate swapped one for one of them mini scooters, the petolr ones, which he BURNT OUT ! cost him 300 quid, when it worked, and feck me, snaking that down the road was an experience and a half !!!

how does the nissan turbo compare to the FTOs engine ? i take it the 200SX is more powerful ? but by how much ?

tbh i think FTOs are way more sexier, 200SXs are just BEASTY

200SX is bland by comparison but is soo tunable, FTO is just about at its peak as it is, new filter/exhaust and that is pretty much your lot without going very expensive and obscure.

Depends what you want from the car, I just dont like the FTO looks and the 200SX promises more.

I like the FTOs looks. Neighbour of my g/f has one, very tempted to ask him to take me out on a drive. Think the FTO is FR.

    What plate you got Lemming?

cheers for the response you lot First off I wasnt too clear, I just meant an FTO not necessarily the one I showed, I def cannot afford 5,500 right now

Nah not bored of the bmw at all, loving it actually - I really enjoy the drive between home and uni (especially the dartford tunnel toll ) I'm just thinking for my next car whenever that may be, I still like the 1997-8 celicas but FTO's look fantastic too

I liked celicas but the Supra overtook it in my heart in sooo many ways. If youre up for the insurance you could get an NA Supra...nice looking cars and will take a long time to age. Cockpit is sooo space age.
