Theoretically friction is independent of contact area. There may be some other considerations though, like wear. Also when you are braking traction and going into spinning mode and are removing material rapidly from the tyre then width may play a role.

Should have the car back on Saturday, keeping everything crossed!
Edit: I've just realised that thing plugs into the fag lighter. And my fag lighter is well, mostly a starter button now! I'll have to wire something in on a temp basis methinks... if the next user notices some singe marks, wasn't me guv!
I think the dozy admin birds only posted it yesterday so let hope it turns up in the next day or so

I'm sure I can rig some lorry battery in a back-pack and then convert it to a lighter socket
If thermaltake can make them from PC's then I can do the above
IS there anyother way to power this besides a fag lighter?
I havent got one, and I want to test my car out with one of these badboys
you'll have to wire a socket in somewhere I think.

Moby when the little box comes back from its Hexus holiday I'll have a bash as well if ya don't mind. I've always wondered if the official performance figures are close to right and how the amount of fuel sloshing round the tank effects stuff.
