    Thumbs down Noooooooooooooo

Spent 3 hours over at the workshop yesterday - the cars in for the FINAL time (otherwise I will be screaming, shouting and throwing my toys out the pram). Anyway - we spent some time going over the remaining jobs I wanted doing, small fabriation work, Q/R steering wheel etc - when I noticed that on a part of the roll cage a faint line........
Now for my cage to be 'tagged' and therefore legal to run under 10.00 at FIA events it MUST be CDS tubing (Cold Drawn Seamless) this line means the tube has been rolled and welded - which is BAD
Im NOT a happy bunny at the moment - we needed to replace some of the bars anyway (as they are too small) but now it looks like it all needs doing - and for the type of cage I have - wrong side of a £1k
    It doesnt rain, it pours
The moral of the story - dont buy an old race car - they cost too much

Bad luck mate. Still, you'll be glad of it if you get a blowout at 150....
