    Boy Racer

Do you class yourself as a 'boy racer'?

    Just wondered.

Sometimes I am. When I feel like it.

I have my moments off the lights showing boy racers up in their VTRs. I guess it makes me as bad as them.

Not really - it's difficult in a mini I get the wheels spinning a little on the corners now n then, but I've never fancied doing the traffic light thing or hanging round Macdonalds all night, and I've never done more than 5mph over the limit.

There's nothing wrong with having a heavy right foot though as long as you're sensible with it, but I've got mates who drive like boy racers, 150 down the m/way etc. It might be fun but way I see it they're gonna end up spread all over the tarmac or meeting a tractor coming round a corner eventually.
    Mini!!!!!

I'm only 19 but i'd say no. personally I have something of a vendetta against the local 'crew', the proliferation of Nova's and other ****ing rust heaps driving like ass holes round where i live has led me to hate them. if some rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish comes up behind me driving by my house, which is in a 30mph zone where some prick knocked me off my bike years ago there gonna stay behind me whether you ****ing like it or not cos frankly I'm pissed off with it and the number of people who've tried to overtake on that road and come head on with someone the other way is beyond a joke.

That said, in a national speed limit area away from houses and stuff I've been known to drive in a somewhat sporty manor

Driving in people's houses? surely that would spoil the carpets? lol....

In my car, it's impossible to be a boy-racer, although I did take one of my associates who is a boy-racer out for a play in it once and scared him witless.. especially when the engine stopped cos the thing was standing on it's nose in a hole that me mate had just dug in his field for a laugh.. he didn't think he needed to wear a seatbelt either - after all, it wasn't on the road was it? soon learned hehe

lol, a son of a farmer round where i live made a couple buggies, one using a Rover V8 and a Ford V6, nothing like bombing across a wet field at 90mph with steering ripped off a tractor which leaks power steering fluid onto the engine before spitting it at your face while being deefened thanks to the rollbar (well, two massive bits of metal guttering) also being the exhaust and running about 6 inches away from your ears

I just don't underdstand this whole boy racer ting. I've got nothing against somebody having a car all done up nice and looking good, but what I really hate is idiots that drive like Colin Mcrae round the cornish roads here.

one such example, driving home from work yesterday, got to a roundabout, I was signaling right to go straigh across when this moron in a boy racered up Volvo 440 went straight across the roundabout from the left, not even stopping, I had to emergency stop right in the middle to avoid a crash.

I can drive fast just aswell as the next person, but I really don't see the point. Oh and whats all this lieing down business when driving?? I've said it before and I'll say it again it's those boy racers that put car insurance up for the likes of us
