Allready been to a few shows, nothing much though. Planning on going to Scottish Mini Weekend, and maybe a few runs (not sure yet). Would also like to get to the UK WRX.

Nothing planned for Shows this year I 'think' at the moment. Will make it to NEC again in 2006 for the Motorshow though.

Is that the only large motorshow to come?

I like the photo, I always like the interesting photo settings - would have probably suited the image a little better to focus on the cars rather than the fence...for a one off its nice though.

I am not to up on my Motorshows, there are always 'festivals' going on round the country which can be worth a visit from what I hear!

The ticket prices for F1 have gone up now, the seats I got (sat at Stowe B) were £180 when released, I think they are just over £200 for the 3 days. It is expensive, but its one of the few things I really can justify spending that sort of money on...you really will not see anything as impressive again

Thankfully things like Touring Cars and other events are a lot cheaper than what I would ever expect to pay so in some ways it balances out in my head.

I suppose theres no better opportunity to go than now, and its always cheaper to go to the home nation race.

What are the cheapest decent tickets?

Ohhh, 'decent' is a strange word...I'll give you a quick run-down:

    Bronze Pass:
You can walk around anywhere for the 3days and sit on the grass verges and embankments. This ticket 'can' on raceday offer you some amazing views for half the price of most tickets...your going to have to sit in the same place though on grass (if its wet!) for several hours so as not to lose your position.

    Silver pass:
This gives you access to any grandstand on the Friday and Saturday and a fixed viewing area on the Sunday. We bought these tickets last year and sat in Bridge, I have photo's of the view you get if you want to see...it's very good for the money. Remember Trulli crashing off last year? Sat at Bridge you had one of the best views to see it

    Gold passes:
These vary in price according to where you sit. We are in Stowe B this year which is either Gold 1/2 I cannot remember. The views are meant to be more dramatic and from the seats I sat in last year on the Friday and Saturday I think it could be worth that extra bit

It would seem I'm off to the British GP with my pa (no I'm not paying thank god!) and for his Birthday pressie I'm planning to take us to the Sunday of Goodwood's Festival of Speed.

    Never been to either.

    Looking forward to both

It's basically a three day hillclimb event.
The difference is the cars are almost universally famous as are the drivers. There are many displays of old and new hardware.
It's all about the atmosphere, the cars and the spectacle!

Some views from Bridge for you

I apologise that the images I took wern't closer zoomed in, but the camera I had at the time only had a small amount of digital zoom which was useless for taking shots like this as you can imagine.

Looks good, pretty close to the action
So a ticket for that bit guarantees you a seat?

    Nice piccies!

The Goodwood weekends are like any other racing event, tents, hotels, b&b or drive there everyday, all are done.
The revival is historic motors being spanked at full tilt for a weekend.
Another event I'd love to visit,

    Maybe next year
