how much should i be looking to budget for a multi channel amp?

i know thats like saying how much for a computer. but some ball park figures to get a half decent one

Multi channel as in 4? To drive mains or subs? Need some more details, lol.

You can get an OK 4x100Watt amp for around £200 That'd be ideal for giving your main speakers some more power and getting them powered better than the amps put into headunits. You also need a head unit with preouts ideally (although most accept speaker ins and they can be attenuated but the quality will drop considerably).

Well I paid £30 for a JBL 2 channel amp a few weeks ago..... Bought it from a friend as he went and bought something more powerful. Does the job just to power my 6.5" front component speakers
