Yay ! got away with a parking fine

Got back to my car last Saturday to find it had a penalty charge on the windscreen - muggins had put his pay and display ticket on the dash upside down


Wrote the Council a polite but firm letter about how my ticket was clearly on display and how dare they give me a parking ticket.

They wrote back this morning - apparently they believed the attendant was correct in issuing the ticket (he was) but they were happy to drop the charge.

remember peeps, only ever send a photocopy of your ticket.

My mate sent his to the council, recorded delivery, and they still managed to "lose" it and threaten court action.

He eventually got off the hook but only after getting solicitors involved.

I have 3 points from recklessly doing 37 in a 30 , and this was the second time I've left my ticket upside down
