Not really - That's almost double the fuel efficiency, when you think about it.
I had to decline the offer of a free car because it was an RX-8... Owners at the time suggested 18mpg meant you were doing well, with 12mpg seeming to be the average.

How flippin' high are these windows, then? Sure it's a drive through, and not a walk through?

    do you know what?

    Yes...

I spend hours of my week splitting recycling into separate boxes, and keeping food waste seperate. That is to try to alleviate land fill and ocean waste.
I do mean hours too. Every meal time,... scraping food waste, splitting boxes and wrapping... squeezing plastic bottles to get air out so they fit the recyling bin.

One man ... against the globe of excess.

check the grill alone on those trucks. the sheer size. the plastic in it.

Mean time... I'd splitting the plastic tray from my vegetables from the flow wrap it came in and putting them in different bins and walking those out on alternate weeks to be collected.

    Wasting my time.. totally.

You're really not. No man is an island, what affects you into choosing to give up or do more affects others, and what you choose to do or not do affects others. It's like claiming there's no point in voting because lots of people are planning on voting the other way.

Even if it were negligible, that doesn't mean you shouldn't do it. We all have the responsibility to do what we can (including voting against those denying climate change), both in terms of effecting change, as well as the feeling of doing what we can, which is valuable to me, and contributes to a general atmosphere of doing what's right, because it's right.

We have recycling here at work, and plenty of people get right up their own backsides (while sat on high horses) if you so much as think about putting the wrong thing in the wrong receptacle, or whatever... although I still assert that it's just another excuse for them to witter on about how they're saving the planet because *they* bought an electric car... and they never fail to seize the opportunity.

What they fail to acknowledge is that the bin guys who round all this sorted, separated, carefully collated refuse up at the end of the day just tip everything into the same wheelie bin!!!

I don't know - isn't the fiesta the best selling car in the UK? And as for putting their heart into it, the fiesta ST, focus RS and GT40 have all rather excelled at their (small/normal) fields respectively.

You can buy an F-150 in the UK. Clivesutton.co.uk imports the Raptor, which is at the premium end, and sells for around 90,000GBP. Not the greatest value for a truck which sells in the US for around 43,000GBP. A base model F-150 starts at about 22,000GBP.

Ford have the top two places in UK sales with the Fiesta and the Focus respectively.

It depends which council area you live in - there are some of the more advanced recycling plants that will always auto separate the recycling, and they are good enough that they can cope with all sorts of messes - whereas many of the plants can only deal with a certain amount of mixed/low grade material.
Remember that a lot of people (i'd go as far as to say "most", but cant prove that ) don't sort their waste properly anyway, so the recycling plants have to deal with low grade mixed waste anyway.

A lot of the idea of making us sort it is to instill good habits and make you think about what you are throwing away in an effort to reduce waste, rather than actually saving time/money at the plant. Not that this is an especially bad thing, its just not what most people expect

Well we could talk a lot about regional differences and why my local service doesn't allow for tetrapak cardboard at all, which I would like to use a lot, so I have to throw it in the rubbish like everything else, and why the onus is on the user to educate themselves rather than a standardised countrywide system accompanied by education as to what is and isn't recyclable.

Do they have kids? Because raising a child is an order of magnitude worse for the environment than driving an F-150.

I always considered them a European car with an American badge on, are the chassis and engines actually designed in the states? Much like Vauxhall used to be an American parent company, but were basically an Opel.

I'm not a Ford expert, I don't know, though I did always fancy having an RS200, but could slum it in a GT40. You can keep your Focus RS

Now the Chrysler Neon, that was an American car aimed at out doing the Europeans and Japanese at their own game. I drove a couple, I wasn't a fan.

Ford of Europe and Ford of America are practically different companies, such is the difference in both chassis and power plants.
