    Car warranties - recommendations?

Has anyone ever had a good car warranty experience? I'm thinking of getting a third-party warranty now my manufacturer's one is expiring, but I've always had such mixed experiences and in past it's always been stressful to argue that yes, something is covered and yes I'd like it repaired somewhere I can actually get to, and then having a similar argument with the repair place etc. etc.

No DPF to worry about, but I do want electrics/ECU and suspension etc.

    I'd genuinely not bother Kal

the few good ones that car manufacturers use, are funded by them and still have issues.

the biggest issue is finding one that will pay a labour rate that a good dealer will accept - then you need a warranty that will buy proper parts, and not cheap tat.

I know numerous dealers who won't touch aftermarket warranty claims for people, because the labour rate paid is dire, the part prices expected leave no margin and then any future failures are down to them anyway and not the warranty company.

    I'd save your quids....

Personally I would choose a couple of companies and get quotes then put that same money in a savings account each month.

This is the done thing, from my experience. We've done this with pet insurance as they were wanting £133 a month last year, already at nearly £2500 saved up.
