Thank the good lord for Torque

Decided to bimble down to the exhaust shop top sort out me blowing Landy... I live on top of a rather steep hill. Get down to the bottom, pull off the lights, and me right foot hits the floor.. but nothing happens... bugger. Accelerator cable's snapped

So I had to crawl (bout 4-5mph) back UP the damned steep hill in the Lo box... and veryone in Douglas decided they wanted to drive up the same hill as I am.. Nice 2 ton rolling (just) road-block then?

Thank god it's got a big diesel in it tbh.

A few years back I lost 3+4th gears in my old 2A landrover, ended up driving in for 2 miles in 2nd (for you non 4x4 lot you pull away in 2nd in an old LR, rather low), when I had a large enough traffic jam behind me just shoved it in the softest looking bit of hedge. Trouble was caused by a 50p spring, stripped the gearbox down outside my parents on a workmate.

Tend to use this mob for bits

    http://www.bearmach.com/

might be worth giving them a bell, pity their site doesnt have prices but they tend to be cheap. Then again for something like what you need would normally just trott of down the main dealer and grovel for discount.
