A shame but they've hardly broken any grounds lately. I so rarely see a Three Diamonds on the road. Unfortunately this is the same for Honda.

I thought their plug in hybrid Outlander would have gotten them some market share, but sounds like they haven't really benefited from being early to market. The only MItsubishi I see around here is an old Evo up the road, not that it seems to get driven much, probably down to running costs. Looks like the lad who owns it got an Alfa Giulietta, respect to him if that's his cheap everyday runabout :D

I always thought their PHEV outlander and pickup where popular, but I guess not popular enough? I wonder if the Renault/Nissan/Mitsubishi alliance is part of it - No point competing against each other in all markets.

The PHEV was popular until the tax regime cottoned on to the fact that a token electric motor incapable of doing much isn't really what they were looking for in a hybrid.
