its like ptfo nice mangle of swear words... worst 'car' ive driven in the rain is a diesel escort van. no rear view mirror, massive blind spots, bout 9pm on the M25... not so fun when you're relying on your wing mirrors to see whats behind you and they are just blurs of headlights

Im driving a 2000 reg 328CI SPORTS steptronic(fully loaded)
With Dunlop Tyres ( i think its summer tyres ).
The handling is not a problem for me. I think its something to do with ur tyres...

Ever driven a Suzuki Vitara? I drove one a few years ago......... absolutely shocking!!!! You actually feel like you are driving a JELLY with an engine and wheels. The big fat tyres make it wobble all over the road... shocking car!!! Worst ever!

I have and I agree. They're crap and the gearing is somewhat off

don't forget the Vitara is actually meant to be an off-road vehicle.. don't let the plush trim on some models fool you, they're amazingly capable. They shine off road, suck on it. My Landy handles like a boat.. but it'll leave most things for dead once you get a bit of mud thrown into the equation.

The 318ci you mention, if it had 18inch low profiles - you will get tramlining at the best of times, but things get bad in the rain due to the width of the wheel and the rear wheel drive - The 318 isn't a bad car, some people love the handling characteristics of RWD and the near 50/50 weight distribution. I enjoyed my 320i for the time I had it, but the absense of tramlining on the legacy despite 18inch low profiles is gratifying.

Mum used to have one, and yes, it did go off-road.

Seemed to go ok then, and it even worked when Mum drove it through enough water to get the door handles wet.

It was quite amusing to get home and find the contents of the car (carpets, seats etcetera spread across the drive so anyone that says vitaras don't go in the wet - they do!!

I remember it raining buckets in my 200sx on the way back from buying it. I was on a dual carriageway adn could not go over 45 MPH due to one nearly bald rear tyre and 1 that wasn't any good

Still, all good when I replaced them.
