For the last 2 weeks YOU have had a nicer/faster/cleaner/more valueable car than moi.

It's true.

I have not got a company car at the mo.....I have an F reg, Cavalier 1.7 D "Pauper Spec" and it is SLOW.

57bhp slow.

and it's mine. And I have nothing else (for the road, Astra rally cars with 130+ bhp) don;t count.

no no no - if howard still has the 899cc cinq its only running on 38bhp with a top speed of 83

surely the vauxhall cav will be quicker?

yes the Vaux may have more power... but it also happens to be three times the weight of the wee Fiat

Mate..my Cav is SOOOO SLOWW...and dont go thinking that cos it's a diesel it has torque....

not this one....its DIRE

But it is quite good on fuel

Weekend trip to Devon, over 60 mpg

have you used teh accellerometer on it? how long is it taking to 60?

incidentally, you can get a brand NEW gold with (iirc) a 2l, NON turbo diesel engine..

It gets everywhere and is just generally a pain in the ass. Lol.

Tom: Yeh it's not bad, could do with stiffer suspension and being a tad lower though... Fair bit of body roll through corners

It's not an easy car to drive due to it's small nature and the way the clutch/gearbox works, unless you're careful and/or experienced with it, it's got a sort of either "on or off" nature. I like it though

for a first car it's alright

5Lab.... The new Golfs are that slow??

Mine gets to 60 in around 18 seconds..... Blimey

the fiat cinq is brilliant if your pushing it right to the edge, so much body roll your heads touching the door glass, and you have to thrash the feck out of it to get anywhere... because its so light it oversteers like mad so you have to permanently fight it to get it hooked up in the corner.

oh how i miss 'the cinq'
