Lightbulb how far have you gone on 1 tank??

as topic really, everyone knows clarkson can do 800 miles on a tank, but whats the most you've actually managed?

I did 375 miles over the weekend, which isnt bad - o fill the tank up cost £31, so it works out at ~45mpg, with a mix of motorway, a-road, b-road and in town/traffic jam driving.. quite impressive for a 20yr old volvo i thought

Most I ever had was 687 miles. It was in my old van - filled right up at work for free bout 60 litres... went down to aberystwyth with about half a tonne of me bro's life in the back... met me dad and went up to Snowdon for a couple of days, from there over to Evesham, a trip to Worcester and back, then back up to Liverpool to get the boat home. It flicked onto reserve at 687 miles, just as I was rolling off the ferry

Christmas I got 380 miles out of £40 in the Mini

I probably do about 300miles before I fill up again. 1.8 Focus, vary from town to motorway. Costs around £40 to fill up again on the regular stuff. Have done about 400 miles on the Optimax though.

To the shops and back The very best i could get is about 370 miles from a 70l tank as i can get about 27mpg taking it easy on the motorway, but thats just theoretical as my overall average never seems to go above 17mpg, i get sub tens if i'm really ragging it

I dont generally get more than 20mpg on the daily drive to work, but i did manage 350 miles off a tank on a motorway trip last saturday and the tank is 55 litres i think.

The clio takes £38 quid to fill the tank, says it can do 470 miles to the tank, most I got out of it so far was 398 miles to the tank using 41mpg but to work and back the petrol disappears. Rush hour is a killer for the petrol and clutch.
