    Mustang help please :)

Saw a Mustang the other day.. well he tried to race me anyway and well.. Turbo power up to nearly 3 figures then he wound me in.

Suprised the hell out of this old chap driving it and he gave me a friendly wave after. I'm just after some stats.

It was fairly angular shaped and was a G reg (UK registered) so I'm guessing it was a 1990 model.

So.. you Mustang nuts fill me in please.

What do you mean by G reg Lowe? Not familiar with your "reg" stuff over there.
Fairly angular sounds like a pretty new stang to me. Might have been one of the new Cobra Mustangs they came out with again.
They have 400 HP and sound awesome.

90's 'Stangs were kinda lame on power. They were also more like a box nad not real "angular".

G reg means it was registered in the year 1989/90 (or is it 90/91).

Rocketman take that '90's edition, a touch of white, chop the top and you've none other than Sir Vanilla Ice's "Rollin' In Ma Five Point Oh" mota!

    Yikes!

    YEEEAAAAHHHHH!!!

Did you say Vanilla Ice (shudders in disgust)

That IS a nightmare on wheels, I hate rap and I'm not much of a Ford fan let alone Mustangs. (Camaros are much better )

RocketmanX - it was the 1990 Mustang GT.

Just done some reading and they say it's 225bhp / 300lbs/ft.

Hmm if I hadn't of been 2 up and had a full tank of fuel I might of got away from him... Not bad for a 1397cc that only revs to 5500 RPM.

    Unless its been played with.....
The editor of Streetmachine used to have one that had around 500bhp (managed to crack the block in half though )
Though if he was running extra bhp Im sure you would have known about it !!
Have a look around www.ukstreetracers.co.uk - might have been one of them

    Camaros
There's a gorgeous one of those around the corner from me, it's white with stickers all over it but it looks quality, no boy-racerness at all. Lovely looking cars they are.

I hope Lowes European 4-banger smokes that piece of Ford
I use to smoke Mustangs consistantly in my old '79 Camaro
Had a 400 HP 350 in it. It was one of those amazing 1 in a thousand engines that ran better than it should have. Beat every Mustang I ever dragged, even beat a Plymouth Road Runner with a 440 Magnum and Tunnel Ram and dual 4's.
You guys really are missing out not having Chevy's to toy with, they are WAY better than 'Stangs. (OK the new Mach's and Cobras are pretty sweet)

Cor, I want one of those. Especially if it's got this one's improvements.

    NICE Z Rave

Camaros are real good for doing that with, cheap and plentiful and a big block will fit in 'em.
But we have a saying over here about Camaros-
"Camaros are like a$$h***s, everybodys got one"

Nice 8-71 blower, that 383 would be a 5.7 liter small block bored and stroked to 383 ci. Not knowing the heads he's running I'd guess around 700-900 HP, too bad Camaros are Uni-bodies. They only have subframes, the main body likes to twist like crazy with some power under the hood. His doors wont close right in a while if he didn't add a rear frame section.

Very nice Z, mine didn't hve that much motor
