What? Whether you should get one? Well in terms of depereciation i doubt things differ - perhaps marginally better for dervs than petrol because of fuel prices atm. Alfa still do very poorly in reliability surveys afaik. Great looking cars tho, and their V6's are excellent sounding too. Would I own one? Probably not given other (better) options for a day to day runner.

The thing about every petrolhead needing to own an alfa. Its fair enough when it comes to petrol ones. But does this still hold true for a diesel one. Alfas aren't just a pretty exterior and interior. The petrol engines are nice if i am not mistaken. But do you get the same enjoyment out of an alpha diesel? Would it be like getting a diesel Ferrari? It might still be fast, but will it have the character that you are trying to get when you are buing an alfa?
Tough on mirrors, tough on the causes of mirrors.

Life's troublesome enough without your car being on a knife edge, do you really want that when you own an Alfa? Not so bad if you have a spare but I know what I prefer :-)

My mate has an Alfa 156....beautiful car (he's got the black/green irridescent paint job on it, looks amazing!) but dear god, there's so much wrong with it.
For a start the sun roof whistles like a boiled kettle when you get above 40mph (and it's REALLY loud), and there's something wrong with his driver's side front wheel. It makes this REALLY loud whining noise. You can hear him coming before you see him, hahaha!

Kinda ruins his cool image when he rolls up in the scream-mobile.
