if it were me, i think id have the golf.
sure the leon looks alright and probably performs just as well. but VW's hold their money for a decent amount of time. so if you had it for a few years then sold it, you wouldnt lose as much as on the leon. /sensible

If you're interested in driving, rather than badge wearing then the Leon will give you more fun for your money (just like on the past generation). The new Leon FR and Cupra should turn up next year with outputs ranging from 200bhp to 240bhp..

...actually because the Leon isn't quite so common they do hold their value rather well - especially for the top end performance models like the FR, Cupra and Cupra R.

I'd go for the Leon Nicer looks, probably the same car (A friend of mine has a VW Caddie - so many part of it are stamped with Seat, LOL).
