    Decent Garage in Milton Keynes

and no its not for the 200

The Mondeo seems to have a knackered something - It could be all manner of things from a warn drive shaft to some track rod sends or maybe even a bushing seriously warn

Symptoms: there is a what can only be drescribed as a klunk. this makes it sound like I'm driving along railway tracks. Its road spedd dependant , not engine spedd dependant.

    and its getting worse.

so bad that that I didn't feel safe at over 30 as its now starting to introduce vibrations into the steering.

I've booked it into the local ford dealership as a fall back , but they can't see it for a week - Ideally I'd like to be on the road before that !

I know loads of places to get 200's done , but nothing about a "normal" honest local garage that will take plastic ( dont get paid tell next week )

    any suggestions ?

undid the covers to find not that the nuts where loose ( well not that loose).

but two studs had sheered off.

That's a rare one. Normally only see it from lowered cars with a poor shimming job.

2 new studs where the grand total of £1.22 from ford

they even got the rapid fit chapps to fit them as I didn't have the specialist tools required ( a bigger hammer than I had ) to remove the stud with.

I think they changed me 30 mins labour , so £20 which I can't really copmlain at.

Ah - ford. Charge peanuts for most vital things.... then when you get to 'trim on A-piller screw cover b' they want £50.

Arden Park in Wolverton (round the back from The Garage and Motor-serv) Is where we always go... Superb service always... and The Garage is excellent for brakes and tyres.

Good lass! I've been away 6mths and had forgotten the name of the garage! Arden Park is indeed a fine place to use.
