Well as some may already know, in the early hours of Sunday morning my brother thought it wise to destroy my car :/ crashed right into the back of a parked taxi. So I though after seeing the car today before the insurance guys take it to repair it or scrap it I would take some pictures and share them with you

I have supplied the links as the pictures are big just to get the quality of the images perfect. So enjoy

There you have it. Lets just say if the insurers say its a write off my brother has to find £5000 for a new one by the end of the week somehow I don't think he will be going out much in the next few lifetimes

IMHO it don't look like a write off.
It might be borderline, but because the car ain't that old (I assume) it'll get repaired.....

I had a similar sorta damage to a 8 year old car..and it still got repaired...

Extremely unlucky with that, hopefully the assessment will go in your favour.

I can't remember the exact figure but deciding a write-off is usually based on the cost to repair vs a percentage of the current value. I believe that percentage maybe 70% (someone know better?). That means if the repairs are estimated at more than 70% of the cars current value it becomes a write-off.

IMHO not a write-off. Unless you did not show us all the pictures or the frame of the car got damaged.

Mind you they're designed to "crumple" like that to protect the drivers, etc :S
