Dissenting voice here: bah humbug. They're still a bunch of unfunny tossars. Jumping a snowmobile off a ski jump is a stunt that's an order of magnitude cooler than any of the other crap on the program- in fact quite possibly the coolest stunt ever- and they gave it about twenty seconds, whereas I had to watch them driving the Q7 and XC90 lardmobiles round the forest for about 15 minutes.

Utter, utter rubbish. Sack them all now- in fact sod it, I'm off to cancel my TV licence in protest at just how utterly sh1te it was.

I'll second that - both parts... roll on the next series...

Drat, I missed it! I was watching a DVD and had no idea this was on...

I just caught the Snowmobile jump, which was aces (but stupidly underplayed, as mentioned above).

I thought 'Petrolheads' had potential, but could do with some polish. It made me laugh a few times...

I thought the problem with petrol-heads was the obvious scripting. I didn't watch it past the parking challenge thing. It wasn't funny people trying to do it seriously and being entertaining it the process, they just messed it up on purpose to get a cheap laugh.

It's just another themed panel show, and not a particular good one. I'll stick to Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Mock the Week.

Rave, do us all a favour. Don't watch Top Gear. There are enough fans of the show to justify its share of the license fee whether you like it or not. Don't do the thing of "i hate something, so I will watch it to have something to moan about". Its not big and its not clever.

As for the Petrolheads - i also thought it was a bit poor. Our guess the car thread was far superior too

I suppose you need a sense of humour to find them funny
If you cant sort that out, dont bother watching it. You obviously dont like it so why bother?
I suspect you watch it purely so you can be angry at it or something.

There's two sides to everything but, so far, Rave's the only person I've ever heard of disliking Top Gear.

For those of you that do like it for the interaction between the three presenters.... Did anyone watch '3 men in a boat' on BBC2? Was bloody fantastic.

Ah yes, that was funny - it might have been a bit more 'planned' that they made out, but it was still well worth watching.

it was a fantastic episode - my highlight? when they panned across the sprayed red start line just before the mini launch...the red line went 3/4 of the way across the slope and then curved of and down the slope where James had slipped again
That stig is crazy...wonder how much they paid him to jump of the ski slope?
