Has anyone else been 0wned by the M25 today? There was a lorry fire this morning aparantly, and I've just returned home from work, taking me two hours. The worst thing is, when areas such as Junction 10 to Junction 8 are shut, the WHOLE of my surrounding area gets shafted as a result of everyone cutting through off the A3, etc

That's gotta be some of the worst traffic I've experienced to date... And the only thing keeping me from going completely insane was my air conditioning.. It was nice to have my own little cell to keep cool in, and lucky I had music!

Other than that... How is everybody? Today's lovely weather for driving!

Traffic is OK here... suprising as tourists are usually around in this weather.

I went in my dads car... no air con, was hell. Probably cooler than hell.

I had an exam.......and if thats not bad enough i wasn't really ready for it. TBH it wasn't that hot in the exam room but i was baked by the time i'd walked to school (thats 15 mins walk starting at 8:30!!

It was much hotter when I went to Tenerife, at about mid-day it was EXTREMLY hot.. all the cars there had MASSIVE fans in them... they were louder than the engines lol.

and that is why convertibles, or even better...bikes are so suited to this weather & British traffic. I mean how else can you actually enjoy sitting in a traffic jam, or even better, laugh wickedly at the car drivers stuck in traffic while you ride down the middle

I think in a traffic jam I'd rather have a closed car with air conditioning.. Else you just melt when there's no breeze... But yeah I'd rather like an MX5 or S2000 to blat about in

whats wrong with 'traffic jam'? I've sat in traffic with my dad in his car (05 Boxster) and its nice, bout as hot as it was today, with the roof down, was quite pleasant but I wouldn't honestly say no to a S2000, love the sound of the high revving 4 cyl engine

Took my little brother out for a drive today (he's practising for his test). Arm out the window directing the breeze in the whole way. For some reason the silly sod won't drive with the window all the way down either.

took the jazz out to the shops earlier. light on the dash, looks a lot like a coolant light.

argh! panic!

check the manual. it's the "hey, the coolant's a **** of a lot cooler than it should probably be, given the temperature outside, if i'm still here in half an hour then you can start to panic" light

conversely, the seicento would start to belch fumes if stuck in traffic in the sun for 5 minutes.

i'm pleased, really ^_^

glad I don't commute by car ? hell yeah.

try taking a bus, which takes a roundabout & overly trafficy route, leaving you sat in the scorching hot heat without aircon for more than twice the time it'd take to drive it

yet oxford has nowhere to park. bah
