    stolen car

remember my pug 306 (witched I loved so don’t anyone start with the normal please)

it got stole early hours Friday night. me and my partner have been finding things dodgy with the whole lot so see if you lot do as well?
    * parked outside flat half on curb half on road,
*locked central looking so all 4 doors locked, windows and sunroof all done up,
    *alarm put on,
*partner went out at 4am as he took the dog out it was still there,
*8:30am he comes running into the bedroom ringing police and shouting at me "your cars not there"
*I get dressed and run straight outside running to neighbours houses across the road praying they had heard anything or seen anything, Craig after reporting it to police runs down the road in hope its been left somewhere close.. answer to both no no one had and its not close.
*looked for any glass or anything on the floor where my car was and nothing at all.

later that day 9:30pm we ring police and ask if they have had any sightings we got told on the date a base it was a pug 406 so we said its a 306 and made them repeat it about 3 times

at 10:30pm I get a phone call saying its been found other side of Mansfield dumped and stripped.
we thought at least its not burnt out and stripped up here means cd players and speakers have gone so we wasn’t that worried.

rang the garage up wheres its getting held and asked "can you tell us what’s still on it?"
he said "how about I tell you what’s missing?"
started saying a really big list of what’s gone my face dropped he then said give it till Monday and you can come and salvage anything... so we went to see it today

OMG I cried even before we went in to see it STRIPPED isn’t the word all that’s left is the outer shell and a few bits and bobs.
alloys gone and replaced with 3 standard pug alloys
my head lights have gone as well as back lights
front grill, radiator, indicators, cd player and speakers, Speedo dials have gone, glove boxes, interior lights, hand break and gear box, exhaust, even took my seats and put horrid ones in
    the list goes on
oh and they even took my pink dice and sooty and sweep which was on back seat!

we come back today to find a bit of glass on the pavement where my car should of been (it wasn’t there on sat morn)

im distraught as you would be if it was your car

iv got pics if anyone wants to see..

Wow that's terrible, I take it insurance won't do anything about this?

Sounds quite professional to me though, sounds like they just took all the bits and are going to sell it on.. probably won't be able to trace it back to your car either.

Post pictures please, just out of interest.

yer not the hardest of cars to steal unfortunatly, and as the above you can never trace it back to the car coz its so common, bit gay though, was it fully comp or third party?

Sounds odd,But did the car have a steering lock or handbrake lock? surely that would stop anyone for moving?

there is a proffesional around this area as a bloe just upteroad had his scooby
niked from in between two cars and on his drive they even had the cheeck to put the second car bak on the drive and from whats missing off kittys car that we both saw today it looks like they niked it for a reason as kitty said to order
the parts that are gone can only be used on the same make car
i meen u tell me what u think some1 will go through the trouble of nicking a pug 306 with imobiliser and alarm on locking nuts on alloys (<<< didnt stop them tho)
and then taking everything out including seats and changing them alloys over ect

Why would they go to the trouble for a car like that? I mean no offence at all in saying this, but there wasn't anything special about it was there? Just alloys, stereo, exhaust backbox, lights etc, pretty ubiquitous sort of car. I've heard of it happening to more exotic cars but nothing like that

But at least insurance will sort it and you'll have a new one soon

did you declare all the mods on the car? you might find the insurance will just pay to have it put back to standard - even if you declare mods, some insurers won't cover those items, but will cover the rest of the car, iykwim.. were the lights modded as well, or were they stock?

sounds like someone with a similar car decided he wanted all yer mods and just took em. a bit sad, but looking on the bright side, if you do get money back you can pick and choose what goes back on the car - maybe a different set of wheels?
