My landlord hadn't ever driven his 355 through a tunnel, so I suggested he took it to Queensway, a long tunnel in Birmingham city centre. I went along and took the recording gear and the file is the result of a few runs pasted together.
People in other cars were winding down the windows to hear the howl.

What mics did you use?
That is a wonderful sound, I go through various tunnels in Brum pretty often and it can make anything sound like the world is about to end - a recording just doesnt do that justice, heh.

The mic is a Sony ECM-MS907. For such a small mic they're suprisingly good, have a fairly neutral response and they're cheap for such a good condensor mic.
The problem with recording in a soft top though is the lack of a proper roof which makes the wind noise is quite intrusive.
