    Blackberry / Microsoft Exchange Server

    Hi all,

I have recently purchased a reasonably old Blackberry 8700g off eBay but i was wondering if, while i am waiting for it to arrive, you could all help me with something.

I am able to access my work emails though a web link to access the Microsoft Exchange server ... can the Blackberry be set up somehow to access work emails without having to visit the webpage?

I know this is probably a really vague and badly worded question so if anyone needs any more information to be able to help please shout and ill update you with anything i can !

    Thank you in advance.

    Regards,

Re: Blackberry / Microsoft Exchange Server

What you need is BES - Blackberry Enterprise Server

    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/server/exchange/

There are a few diferent ways of doing this apparently, but i forget the details right now. We have breifly looked into this for our work too.

How about setting Exchange to make your account available over IMAP?

Re: Blackberry / Microsoft Exchange Server

    Would this work?

    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/service...al_express.jsp

    It states:

    One free BlackBerry® Professional Software for Microsoft® Exchange or IBM® Lotus® Domino®
One user included, expandable to 30 users (at additional cost)

Re: Blackberry / Microsoft Exchange Server

Oh, by the way, all of this assumes being able to set up software on the Exchange server itself or deploy another server along with it.

You should really speak to your mail admin people to see what they can do for you. I misread your first post on the subject
