    Corsair VX 450W

    Will the above PSU run the system below thanks

    Amd 5000+
    Asus sli motherboard
    2x hard drives
    4gb ram
    8800GT 512mb
    dvdrw

    Thats it other than 3-4 usb devices thanks.

    Well that says my system should be in the 300w range,but how accurate is it?

    quite accurate, just set the loads to 100& and check again for your peak load.

    Well that pushed it past 450w humm i might have to invest in the 520w version just to be on the safe side.

    If you don't plan to go to SLI then the VX-450 is plenty of power for that system. The only reason really to pay more would be to go to the HX-520 to get modular cables.

    Well thats good to hear i think i`ll leave the HX-520 then as i`m more than happy with the VX.And i`ve no plans to go SLI now or in the future thanks for the reply
