Corsair 520w problem

Got a new corasir HX520w it seem to be working, currently still putting the pc it's going in together.
However we jump started with a paper clip in the 24 pin motherboard connector (green and a black)
It starts fine but it's making a clicking sound, sounds like the fan is clipping a bit of paper or simular.

It's rather annoying and I'm pritty sure shouldn't happen, but doesn't seem to effect the working of the psu (we've tested some fans on it and they worked fine)

Any advice on why this is happening? should we RMA it just incase?

It is supposed to be a quiet PSU so i think it needs looking at.

I had this rencently with a VX 450w.

Get it out and shine a torch or get some decent light on it. If it's like mine then the sheething (or whatever you you want to call the wrap around the main mobo power cables) had split inside and was clipping the fan. I just carefully poked a screw driver in and push it back so it was clear of the fan.

Poking a screw driver into a PSU is a VERY bad idea. If the PSU has ever been turned on then those Caps store alot of zap.
RMA it and get another. Its obviously faulty.

A non-conductive item would be a good idea if you do want to see if the sleeving is the source of your clicking sound. If you prefer, just get it replaced.

Thanks for the tip.
We had a good look last night, however couldn't see any thing obsious.
So tested it out on the motherboard to see if maybe the jump start was somehow being a problem (motherboard 24pin and 8pin pluged in, power switch pluged in, cpu & cooler and memeory only)
LED on motherboard lit, but when the power button is pressed the PSU fan starts, stops, starts, stops, etc , etc.
And when it does spin it clicks.

Ok the start stop could be the motherboard becuase we've not plugged every thing in (inc molex) but that clicking is wrong, will contact scan on monday.

Motherboard is ABit p35, cpu e6750 with scythe mine cooler, memory is Geil pc6800 2x1gb
