    Connectors for new GFX card.

    Hi

I'm looking to buy a new GFX card (Radeon 4870 most likely) and I think I need a new 6+2 cable for my PSU ( Hx520)
I know Corsair offer free one's for Scan customers (which I usually am) but on the occasion I bought my PSU, another company had it for cheaper.
Of course, this has now come back to bite me in the ass - does Scan or anyone else have these cables for sale, or is it possible to get Corsair to post one to me?

    Many thanks.

Apologies I thought it had to be bought from Scan.

    Cheers

I sent off for this about 2 weeks ago, maybe 3 and I haven't heard or seen anything.

Hi, I've also got a HX520 and am also looking to purchase a Radeon 4870, but i was under the impression that it used 2 x 6pin connectors rather than the 8 pin? If someone could clarify this that would be great. Don't want to not be able to power up a shiny new card just cos of cable problems!

    Thanks

This PSU has the proper connectors for a 4870.

Re: Connectors for new GFX card.

Sorry to be annoying but is it ok for the 260/280?

    yup, it sure is

if you don't allready have the 6+2 pin cables then you can request them using the walkthrough in the corsair stickys

the 2+6 pin cable is basically a 6 pin cable with two extra dangalies () to make up the 8 pin
