    Corsair HX620 PSU new version?

    Hello.

Just checked Scan's site and while looking at the Corsair HX620 PSU I noticed it says "NEW VERSION!" after the product name.

Can any of the Corsair reps on here tell me whats changed since the last version of this PSU? There must be a reason they've decided to state this on the site.

    Thanks for any help.

The only thing that has changed since we released it is the cables. It now comes with the 6+2 pin cables for all the newer video cards.

Re: Corsair HX620 PSU new version?

as yellowbeard says, the only change is that there is now 2 6pin plus 2 danglies (to make the 8 pin [all in one cable]) instead of just 6 pin cables
i'll try and take a picture of what i mean if i can find my cables...

    nothing else has changed

That hardly deserves 'new version title'.

Re: Corsair HX620 PSU new version?

The "new version" title is Scan's doing, I don't think I've seen any other retailer do this.
Ebuyer for example list in the PSU cable specs "2x 8pin PCI-E VGA Connectors" but not "new version" anywhere

The "new version" was part of the question phrased by the original poster and not by Corsair. Do you actually have a question about our products that I can help you with?

Re: Corsair HX620 PSU new version?

Was confused as well why scan label it as 'new version' while other retailer don't mention it.

    Thanks for the answer.
