    HX620 & HD4870 crossfire

    Hi Corsair,
I am just putting together a system with 2 HD4870's in crossfire mode which wil require 4 PCI-E connectors. The PSU comes with 2 PCI-E modular cables, do I have any options apart from using the molex-PCI-E connectors that come with the graphics card? Has anyone else tried this?

    Cheers!

Unless you bought your PSU well over a year ago, you should have all the cables you need to run those cards. If not, there is a sticky post here in the PSU section with the information needed to get more cables.

    Re: HX620 & HD4870 crossfire

    Hi yellowbeard,
thanks for the quick reply! However, the psu only comes with 2 PCI-E connectors - running HD4870's in crossfire mode requires 4 PCI-E connectors. What I'm trying to find out is what my best options are. Do I have to use the molex to PCI-E converters that came with my card? Or do Corsair do modular PCI-E cables that run from the flat (five pin) connector on the psu?

I am aware of the card requirements. We have PCI-e cables that have 2 connectors on them. You can get them using the link above.
