    Silverstone TJ-09

    Hello,

I am thinking now of purchasing the Silverstone TJ-09 (black with no window), instead of the Antec P180.

However, I am not sure if the Silverstone has as good a soundproofing system as the Antec P180?

    Could anybody comment on this?

    hello,

    Thanks.

Looking at those reviews, the case is shown as very able indeed in terms of soundproofing.

However, I'm not so sure still about this in comparison to the Antec P180.

In addition to this, in the following link there is talk of the side panels being too thin, and thus there being a lot of problems with (more than usual) hard drive noise coming through.

I agree, one of the issues is with the HDD. The Antec will be quieter which is why if a quiet pc is a must, and we are talking whispper quiet, then I would go for the Antec. The compromise will be working space. There is more in the Silverstone.

I just wonder how much sound a HDD will make on an air cooled system to make it irritable. True on a watercooled system possibly so.
Dunno M8, I think you have to take the plunge at some point and make your own mind up.

Personally if your prepared to spend the extra then get the silverstone.

I have one of their cases and the build quality surpases companys like antec and akasa and is up there with lian li.

However anlike lian li theu have good cooling withough the need for hundreds of holes XD
