    Pre-Modded?

I'm the kind of guy who likes to mess about with stuff.

I like to take something boring and make it interesting. These days, you can buy a lot of "pre-modded" cases along with ones that come with windows and so on.

In my opinion, where's the fun in that? Has modding gotten too commercialised? I know I'm sticking with doing stuff myself.

The only time I'd get something special would be an all acrylic case - but then I'd make sure it was a flat pack one - hell yeah flat pack = fun!

So, who likes modding; who prefers it done for them?

Quality and pre-modded.... much better than these cheapo £30 premodded cases.

I don't have the time or the ablilty to do any 'real' mods myself, so I'd rather buy something that looks good but not over the top.

A bit like Gordy said, buy stuff that's already modded and looks great.

OK, here's another thing for you guys who like pre-modded to think about.

If you mod it yourself - your computer is the only one that looks like that. However, many people will have the pre-modded one.

It's not a matter of which is better - more of being different, hehe.

Doesn't make much difference to me. How many people do their own mods for cars compared to those who buy pre-modded kits??

I admire the guys that can do their own, but don't have the ability/skills to do it myself. I'd rather pay to get it looking really good and done really well.

I normally only mod for functionality rather than looks so I'm not too bothered!

Although I have case modded before and if you do it right its much better yourself than buying it predone (and I don't count adding some cathodes, grills etc. a mod)!

i bought my lian li with a window and would't want to touch it with a jigsaw,my antec on the otherhand is a freak - fitted a window,120mm fans, added some feet, sprayed the inside black, all plumbed up to an external rad and 8 litre res in the loft, never goes above 31*c all year round and not more than 1*c difference between idle and load.

i like them both...the antec for its individuality, the lian for all out looks but i think i'd still sell the antec first if it came to it,probably so i could mod something else
