Ok so ive changed my mind again. I think im going to get some aluminum mesh and use that as a window for my akasa eclipse. Ive been looking around online and I found some pics of where someone else has done something similar.

I came across this. What is the stuff he has around the mesh? The rubber stuff im referring too. I think it looks pretty tidy.

If anyone knows, where can I pick some up and whats it like to put in?

The only place I can find that sells the trim at a reasonable price is ebay under 'automotive parts' lol.
And still P&P is a bit of a joke.
If I can get these trims for cheap from maplins, i'd rather buy from them, will be planning to cut a 120mm holes in my pc cases soon.

So if I wanted to cut a whole in my case and use some aluminum mesh for a window, would this stuff be ok to cover up the gap? Anyone know of any guides which use trim which I could use as a guide line?

Well I just went to B&Q, Wickes and Homebase and I couldnt find any of this trim. I may have been looking in the wrong areas though. I did ask the people that worked there some didnt know what I was after and the other said they didnt have any.

Ill have a look on ebay.

I know B&Q do some wire-mesh type office things (file/book holders, in/ou trays, waste bins) on the cheap and I'm sure most "homewares" places would sell similar (as will the occasional pound stretcher etc type place - maybe your local h/w store too) ... Probably only a few quid. You can then cannibalise the mesh you want out of it? Not structural perhaps but it could work?

If your looking for a cheap alternative for the trim. What i did was get some reasonably thick wire cut it down its full length (this is very tricky and if u want it to look good be careful) take out the wire and hey presto, cheap trim. In any colour you want

Yer I was thinking this over the weekend when I saw my girlfriend's drawer thing which had some metal mesh stuff. I heard though that it was better to get aluminum as it is easier to cut?

Damn. I can't find it anywhere, but they used to sell this really nice trim that wasn't too thick and such. They must've discontinued it
