Any Meccano masters?

I need to mount 5 (probably 6) hard disks inside a mATX case that has space for 2 officially but a huge gap just behind a 120mm fan that is designed for HDDs in the full ATX version of the same case.

I'm wondering if anyone has constructed anything to hold many HDs perhaps using MEccano or some other steel system.

    Here comes some ASCII drawing

HD1
HD2
HD3
HD4
    _| HD5 |_

This would be looking from front of case to back. Basically 4 Meccano uprights with ends bend over so that they can be screwed into case floor.

Any product exist to make it easy?

Couldn't you take a standard hotswap bay and fit it into place with the drives pointing upright? Maybe using the ones designed for 2.5" drives?

I would imagine it would be fairly easy to screw some meccano strips on the inside of the top mounts and have them hanging down.

Failing that a CM 4in1 bay (intended for the stacker) will mount directly to a 120mm fan, and just hang off the back of it.

I have a CM 4 in 1 but it only does 4 drives and if I mount it to a 120mm fan the weight of 4 or so drives would prob rip it off the case? or did U mean something else?

Nope, thats exactly what i meant. I've done it in a friends machine, we used long bolts & nuts, however, I dont see any reason why it wouldnt work normally. my 3x120 radiator has been mounted by 1 fan before when full, and thats a damn site heavier than 4 drives
