    High quality Led fans

Can anyone recommend some high quality led fans, or something similar. I want some green fans for my new case, preferably 120mm, but I dont want cheap ones, Id like something that actually offers decent cooling performance. Does such a thing exist, or am I just going to have to decide whether I want good coolinf or a case with pretty green lights.
Also, whats a good brand/make to look for in cold cathodes?
    Cheers

I think there may be 2000rpm yate loons with leds, not sure on the colours though. Try jabtech.

Oh, and have a look at the ACRyan blackfire fans as well, fairly powerful, and can be quietened down with a controller if need be.

I've had a couple of 120mm Antecs which were quite nice. Not the quietest at full speed, but I was running them at 5v & they were completely silent.

Yate Loon do not manufacture LED fans, you can check the entire product line from their website. Any LED Yate Loon is a fake/clone.

    Re: High quality Led fans

AC Ryan UV LED fans are awesome, plus have sperate power for the LEDs so you don't have to dim the lights if you want to slow the fans. I have 4 x 120mm and 3 92mm AC Ryan fans in my case and they give good airflow 77CFM on the 120 and 44CFM on the 92s Noise isn't that bad on high, especially if you have music or something else playing. On low the're fine.

They're not cheap but they're quite pricey £9ish for the 120s cant remember what the 92s were now

    Re: High quality Led fans

From my experience, the manufacture of cold cathodes doesn't seem to make any difference - they just work! If you are struggling with LED/lighted fans, then there is the option of buying a standard fan which is to the spec you want, then getting a cheap CCFL ring fan, take the CCFL off it and put it on your decent fan. Bit of a bodge, but worth considering.

    Re: High quality Led fans

It's a fan with LED's in it, and thus glows/shines

I have some X-Clios, and while they do keep my system cool, they are that noisy I'm going to change them........

    Re: High quality Led fans

yes, they're noisy at 2400rpm but just use some form of controller to throttle them back to a more sensible level.

    Re: High quality Led fans

If you mean these ones http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=375877 (or the 4 led version) Then No
Throttleing them down with a speed controller does nothing much to the sound.
The reason it the the fan blades them selves don't make the sound, it's frame vibration that is the problem.
To get these fans quite I had to attach them to my case with lose elastic to stop the frame vibrations being transfured to the case.

And they don't spin at 2400rpm ether, 1200rpm if speedfan can be trusted. (they probably double the number because it's got so many blades (16), but they are not that agressive, I'd say they put out about the same amount of air as my scythe s-flex 800rpm does)

    Re: High quality Led fans

well, I'm using 1 on an HSF & it's fine in terms of noise at the speed that it runs controlled by the mobo & it'll certainly run at well over 1200rpm uncontrolled.
