    anyone with a stacker 831

ive just tried to work out why the front USB ports dont work and it seems there are no USB headers to connect to the motherboard from the front.

there are however two USB to USB header cables like below which were located near the top so could be something to do with the front?

the front only has the 1394 cable actually connected and the usual power SW, reset SW and lights e.t.c
    for connecting to the motherboard.

now, is your case the same or have i just got gotten all muddled up & confused and if your front USB does work where are the cables connected to?

*im sorry if i sound really confusing, it is quite hard to explain!*

i have an evo 830 nvidia which should be the same and i just connect the usb header provided to my mobo and it works i am not sure if the cables you have shown are correct but if you google it you should be able to see images of just the connectors to the front.

Re: anyone with a stacker 831

Surely just connect those cables into the front USB connection on the small PCB and then into the motherboard USB header??

Re: anyone with a stacker 831

I have the same problem with my 830 evo, there are four USB cables coming from the top of the case to be plugged into the mobo, 2 of them work (the two for the ports on top) the other 2 dont, its weird. I also cant get my HDD, reset or power leds to light, I connected the cables to the corresponding connectors on the mobo, but it doesnt work. The weird thing is, all the cables are colour coded and labeled, but the colour code doesnt match up to the connector diagram in my mobo user manual (eg power led may be colour coded red, but on my mobo the power led connector is blue), is that normal?

Re: anyone with a stacker 831

I have the same problem with my red mesh 831, the power, reset and 4 usb ports work properly, however i can't get the audio ports to work or the hdd/power lights to light up, i have connected all the header to the right pins and it still doesn't seem to work :s
