    Standoffs to wood?

I have a few spares parts around, enough to make a mess around PC but I want to fit everything to a sheet of 1" plywood (Obviously graphics card will be secured with something attached to the plywood) but I can't think how to get the brass standoffs into the wood, I am useless at basic thinks as I try to think my way around it and do it some complicated way when there is an obvious and simplistic way of doing, so, I ask you, how do I screw brass standoffs for the motherboard into a piece of wood?!

    good point

    Gonzo`s idea seems good.

epoxy glue should make them solid enough

    Re: Standoffs to wood?

Could make a smaller hole than the standoffs in the wood, then screw the standoffs in using a drill with adjustable chuck on (or your fingers) and the hole will be the right size and have been threaded

    Re: Standoffs to wood?

thats going to spin with the slightest bit of pressure due to wood being soft, at least glue would give it more to hold on to

    Re: Standoffs to wood?

Good point, I don't see why you'd need to remove the standoffs, Glue's probably the best option
