hehe you guys just inspired me to go to ikeas site - found their Ikea Office Planner software. Well cool fun you can drop in furniture rotate in 3d loadsa stuff, fun for 5 minutes anyway![]()
Also does anyone know where Nimrod's desk comes from in that thread ? It looks like a great space saving design.
Thanks... just checked their site and they still stock it :O
Can you tell me a bit about the setup in you photo e.g. what sizes are the screens - to give me an idea of how big it is.
Their site (mfi) says it is 1020mmx1020mm which seems bigger than it looks to me, is it possible their measurements are wrong!
I'm wanting this:

It is indeed about 1m * 1m
The tv on top is a 32" widescreen, it overlaps slightly at the sides but the tube at the back doesn't reach as far into the corner as the desk does.
The monitor in the center is a 21" Viewsonic, again it doesn't reach all the way back. There is room around the side of the monitor and I think I could get a 22" in there if I wanted. Also its worth noting that the shelf the monitor is on is height adjustable. So I have it as high as it'll go to fit my dvd player below it.
The monitor on the left is a 15" CRT. I have just been looking to replace that so I can give actual measurements for that...
inner height (max monitor height) of 12.5 "
inner width of 14.5"
At the back there is a panel that I had to mod to allow the tube of the monitor to fit. This was a simple case of cutting the panel back.
The space below the second monitor now holds my lazer printer but used to hold my VCR and DVD player stacked.
Then under the desk there is a space for a full tower PC (on the lower right) and a bunch of shelves for the rest of your bits
I think it is a cracking desk, it suits me down to the ground as that room measures 11' * 6' so as you can imagine space is tight in there !
jeez maybe HEXUS should start reviewing desks... i never knew they were so interesting!!!

Nimrod.
Thanks for the details, really appreciate the effort
I've been having a measure up and don't think its gonna fit very well hereshame cause it seems a great storage space. I'm hoping to get to see one in the flesh over the weekend if our Mfi has any in store.
I have a couple more questions if you fancy answering them !?
Is there room for a mouse on the keyboard slider, if not is there enough room on the surface above to work keyboard mouse with the chair slightly higher ?
Also there is one measurement that would be very usefull to me if you have a rule handy... the length from the back corner of the unit to the front of the top workspace.
Once again thanks for all the info.
Ok at home now...
There is not room for a mouse on teh keyboard slider but there is more than enough room up top for a keyboard and mouse
From the deepest point to the furthest forward point you're looking at 1140mm !
Oh and a new pic (I got a new 15" monitor)
Its a big pic
