Zalman one I do like, its simple, clean cut and cheap enough that if it is rubbish I can just sell on and not care...

That is looking nice. I never got the hang of the electronic ones. I could never understand my Akasa's manual for it.

Sorry not so relevent to this thread
I think you misread what I typed, I said it is only a controller, not the only controller, implying it only controls fans, there is no other feature like RPM or temp measurements.

I have the Zalman, its in the cupboard, its only 7W per channel (0.58A), while its fine for majority of fans, I have 140mm Yate Loon SL at 0.50A, the controller channel got very hot.
    I upgraded to a M version for 0.70A max, couldn't use it :\

its a very nice looking controller though, but as with most things in computers, the best looking are not always the most functional.

Ahh sorry I did miss read and I stand corrected.

I've never had any functionallity or heat issues with mine but considering most 120mm fans only use 0.15a to 0.3a I'm not surprised I've had any problems (lower the starting rpm the lower the power required ie a fan rated at 1000rpm will use less than a 1600rpm fan)

All I can say about thoes 140mm Yate Loon's is EPP! that's a high draw for a fan.

EDIT: Oh and I do like the sunbeam Rheobus extreme, just very hard to get hold of in the UK and I never saw the reason for the higher price tag (untill now that is)
    £25+vat (only place I found that sells it http://www.chilledpc.co.uk/shop/prod...roducts_id=522 ) vs £16+vat (Scan http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=683697 )

yea i got mine from chilled, but it was cheaper back then about £21 or something.

The Yates do look curiously high, the 230mm CM fans in the HAF are only rated for 0.40A, they only spin around 700rpm though.

Re: Need super dooper Fan controller

Intresting after some more digging I thought at first it might of been because it was a fake (they are easy to spot as they had 11 blades instead of 7)
But some more digging and yes SL uses 0.5a and the ML 0.7a
However the YATE LOON D14SL-12 LED fans only use 3.6w or 0.3a
    this is getting weirder.

There are no amp or watt numbers listed on the yate loon website and no LED fans.

Why is it that so many manufactors only ever list half there products and there web sites and always have such bad search functions?
