    Lian-Li v1200 side panels rattle

Have had the Lian-Li v1200 for about 4 years now, Having bought it when they first came out. The one thing that really bugs me is the side panels rattle and as yet I've not managed to cure it.

Just wondered if anyone else has found a cure. I've tried using thin foam tape on the locking bars and I thought it had cured it but, It has started again

I wouldn't expect a Lian-Li to rattle but as you have had it for such a long time perhaps the closure has become loose. Are you sure it's the locking bars this time? Can you not trace the rattle, with judicial use of finger pressure and effect another repair?

Could it be one of your fans starting to give up?
Hope you fix it. If not send it to me and I'll have a go

Re: Lian-Li v1200 side panels rattle

It was a very early production one and it has always rattled, Sometimes you can stop it by pushing the side panels forward.
The other problem was the cables for the front case ports were not long enough to reach because with this case the motherboard is upside down. (PCI cards at the top) Although Lian-Li did send me some extension cables for them.

Re: Lian-Li v1200 side panels rattle

A little bit of blu tac between the side panels and where it actually vibrates (like you mentionned, usually the locking mechanisms on the v series lian li's, my v1k and v2k do the same thing) This has always cured it for me =)
